Principal Search 2025

We want to share the news of some upcoming leadership changes within our staff. 

On Aug. 1st, Rockland Principal Jim Cieciwa will transition into a new role, Student and Family Engagement Liasion. In this new position, Jim will support district-wide communications, student data, and state compliance efforts, and will serve as the director of summer school. He will report to Chris Vipond, director of technology, and work closely with Robin Smith Kollman, director of communication, on these efforts and initiatives.

Part of this move will support Mrs. Kollman's upcoming retirement in June, 2026.  Over the next year, Mr. Cieciwa will work alongside Mrs. Kollman to ensure a seamless transition and maintain the strong communication strategies that keep our district informed and engaged. Following her retirement, Mr. Vipond will take on the duel role of Director of Technology and Communications. This will be a smooth transition as Mrs. Kollman and Mr. Vipond already work closely together.

We are searchong for Rockland’s next principal. We recognize the importance of this leadership role in shaping the experience of our students and families, and we will ensure a thorough process that includes input from staff and the Rockland community.
